METALWORK ESTIMATOR

• Must be a Bachelor´s degree holder in Engineering - Mechanical preferred.
• Must have at least 2 years experience in Estimation.
• Should be familiar with steel frames, facades, curtain walling, glazing etc.
• Ability to undertake a reasonable level of technical and financial calculations.
• Ability to prepare work to estimate by gathering inquiries, proposals, studying architectural drawings, specifications and other related documents.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent IT and numeracy skills.
• Familiar with tender specifications and drawings.

SIGNAGE ESTIMATOR

• Must be a Bachelors degree holder in Engineering - Industrial or Mechanical preferred.
• Must have at least 3 years experience in Estimation of interior and and exterior signs.
• Previous experience in sign industry preferred.
• A thorough understanding on estimating production and installation method and costs for interior and exterior signs, including built up letters, aluminum, way finding, flex face and digital print.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent IT and numeracy skills.
• Familiar with tender specifications and drawings.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF BOTH

Generate cost estimate for the manufacturing and installation of custom signs and architectural products by analyzing blueprints, drawings, specifications, bid request, proposals and other documentations to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, projects or services by performing the following duties :

• Calculate and generate costs by analyzing labour, material and time requirements.
• Review bid request and project drawings to determine material and labor requirements, clarify information with Sales, Project Manager, and Designer if required; confirm bid request matches submitted drawings.
• Analyze the content of tender specifications and drawings and use the information identified to build a costs schedule suitable for use as a formal tender bid.
• Present prepared estimate to relevant management and or direct to clients.
• Consult with clients, suppliers, colleagues in other departments or installation teams to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Must have a desire to contribute to the overall success of the company by working cooperatively with all departments.
• Maintain technical knowledge by reviewing technical publications.
• Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reason for any discrepancies.
• Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual cost.
